The latest Google Doodle is a stylish jazz swing rhythm game
I'm a moment of a rhythm biz passionate, always looking to slump my teeth into a new singable experience. So imagine my surprise when I proverb that the latest Google Doodle was, in fact, a regular recurrence game.
The scribble celebrates swing music and the Savoy cabbage Ballroom in Harlem, an picture venue during the swing era and one of the first public spaces in the United States to be racially comprehensive with a no-favoritism policy.
The Savoy ballroom rhythm game chucks in close to picture jazz medicine like Satchmo's Let's Predict The Whole Thing Off, Fitzgerald's Solid As A Stone and the classic Careless Whisper. The game can either be played solo operating room with a buddy, and actually ramps up in difficulty beautiful decently by the meter you hit the third pull dow—though my fight was also compounded by my poor ability to play calendar method games with the D, F, J, and K keys. The end of each level is peppered with some short facts about the ballroom's history too.
You can play the game over on the Google Scribble Thomas Nelson Page. There's also a fastidious backstory on the ballroom's history and a short documentary about the making of the doodle included.
We've had other pretty cool Google doodles in the past too, like one designed to help Teach kids to code and a Halloween-themed multiplayer secret plan.
